Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Are you willing to travel?

A: Yes, I love to travel! I can quote you on travel costs while striving to make economic choices that will make the end result as affordable to you as possible. My commitment to my clients is to always provide my top videographer services at affordable prices, delivering an amazing product that comes in on time and on budget. I really make it worth your while to hire a videographer.

Q: Do you work with photographers?

A: Heck yeah! I know a bunch of really awesome photographers, as a matter of fact. Before your event, I will communicate with any photographers you have on hand or put you in touch with some talented collaborators who will help you fully capture your wedding, event, or commercial videography project.  I always discuss shooting styles with on-site photographers so we can avoid getting in each other’s shots.

Q: What is your turnaround time?

A: For wedding videos, usually about six to eightweeks. For marketing content, it depends on what we decide in our contract. I’m also always open to new challenges. My goal is to always come in on time and on budget when it comes to your event videographer, wedding videographer, and commercial videographer needs.

Q: Can I Customize My Videography Package?

A: You sure can! You can add extras on like travel, extra filming time beyond the 8 hours I provide, DVD or Bluray copies, hard drive or flash drive with RAW footage, full day edit, rush order delivery, or anything else you think you’ll need for successful coverage of your event, and always at the most affordable prices.

Q: Where do you get music for your videos?

A: I utilize Artlist.io and MusicBed.com, which are both great services. I pay for the licenses to use the songs in your video. If you use songs from the radio, those licenses can come along with very hefty fees and you will end up having to pay royalties. Either that or your video will get taken off of social media for copyright violation issues. Nobody wants that, so I choose to use licensed music, the good old fashioned legal way.

Q: How do I reserve you for my event?

A: You can call/email/text/FB message/courier pigeon me with what services you are looking for. I’m highly responsive and I can give you a quote right away! In order to successfully book me for your event or shoot date, I usually require 50% down and 50% a week before your event.

Q: How exactly does your videography process work?

A: We’ll schedule your event and then we’ll rendezvous for a one-on-one consultation -- usually about a month before in preparation. I’ll make sure to check in with you a few days before the event to make sure everything is going to plan.

On your event or shoot day, I’ll be there filming, providing full coverage of your event, filmed with the eye of a top local videographer. Then I’ll go off and do the edits, which I will send to you for approval. You can suggest any changes or alterations you need and I’ll get it done.

When the finished product is ready, I’ll send you the final link! I use Vimeo so you can easily download your video at your convenience and share on the internet without losing your mind in frustration. You can also request your RAW footage, which I can provide on hard drive at an extra cost. I can also use a flash drive you provide, as long as it’s equipment compatible.

Q: Do you do last minute events/elopement?

A: Heck yeah! Contact me and I’ll look at my calendar! If I am available, I would love to collaborate.

Q: Why don’t I just let a random family member shoot and edit my video for my event?

b-151.jpg

A: Great question! You are more than welcome, but you should always consider utilizing a professional videographer. With a service like mine, it’s always cheaper than the client anticipates. You might be saving a little money on the short term by letting Uncle Joe break out his early-1980’s model Betacam, but you’ll pay in frustration, poor video quality, and you’ll certainly face a real struggle trying to cut anything meaningful, coherent, or cohesive together.

Q: What if I have an idea not listed under your services?

A: Contact me and let’s work it out! I’m always down to do creative work like documentaries, music videos, travel video edits, etc. As long as it’s something I won’t go to jail for.

Q: Can I hire you to do editing?

A: Of course! I’m happy to help you better achieve your videography goals. Just let me know what you have and we can work something out! For editing services, I require a few weeks advance notice before you need the final cut finished.

Q: Are we allowed to feed you?

A: Yes. Just not past midnight. ;)

Q: When can you start?

A: Today! Get in touch with me ASAP and let’s get started.
